Italian Language Services

For many years Dutch and other foreign companies, in particular financial service providers, have wished to establish a strong presence in Italy. In their experience, the Italian market is fairly closed and difficult to enter. In response to the desire to expand into this market, PLS has developed a core group of native speakers of Italian who are able to assist our clients who wish to take advantage of the increasing opportunities offered by the Italian market.

The services we can offer businesses include the translation of marketing materials, press releases, contracts and other documents necessary for establishing a business presence in Italy. All our translations are done by native speakers of Italian.

In addition to the financial sectors, we work intensively law firms, organisations involved with competition regulation and liberalisation, energy companies and internationally active higher education institutions.

We work closely with our clients to support their efforts to serve their clients well and to add value by delivering high quality services.

Our clients are organisations that operate internationally, with English as their main language of communication with their customers. Our aim in to ensure that language is not a barrier to their success.

Ideally we work as professionals with professionals to meet high demands of accuracy in translating complex and conceptually demanding documents.

La PLS Professional Language Services BV nasce nel 1988 e si dalla sua formazione si concentra su compagnie operanti nel settore finanziario. Tra i nostri committenti ci sono banche, assicurazioni, gestori di fondi pensionistici e società di statistica.

Oltre a questo lavoriamo frequentemente con studi legali, organizzazioni coinvolte nel controllo della competitività e della liberalizzazione dei mercati, compagnie del settore energia e istituti di educazione superiore attivi in campo internazionale.

La PLS Professional Language Services BV (PLS) ha base ad Amsterdam ed è diretta da Robert Ensor. La compagnia è attiva dall’agosto del 1988. la PLS lavora a stretto contatto con traduttori professionali freelance.

Our preferred method of work is to establish long-term relationships with our clients and to link translators to specific clients or areas of work. By creating specialist teams around particular areas or clients, we believe we can best provide the quality services which our clients require. After all, financial institutions, regulators and law firms are knowledge-intensive organisations. As translators we can only produce quality texts if we are familiar with our clients' area of work, their aspirations, the nature of the services they provide and how they wish to position themselves in their markets.

 Il nostro metodo di lavoro tende a stabilire rapporti a lungo termine con i nostri committenti e assegna i traduttori a clienti specifici o a specifiche aree di lavoro. Dr J.R. Ensor MBA (Robert), director of PLS, studied English Literature (MA) at the University of Natal in South Africa and English Literature and Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam (doctoraal). He completed his PhD in Comparative Literature at the University of Amsterdam and completed an MBA through the Open University Business School. In addition to translation activities, Dr Ensor represents the Open University Business School in the Netherlands and lectures in Strategy as part of OUBS's MBA programme.

Chi siamo 

Il dottor J.R. Ensor, laurea in economia e commercio, è il direttore della PLS. Ha studiato letteratura inglese all’Università di Natal in Sud Africa e ha conseguito il dottorato in letteratura inglese e linguistica all’Università di Amsterdam. Ha completato il suo PhD in letteratura comparativa all’Università di Amsterdam e ha completato gli studi di economia all’Open University Business School (OUBS). Oltre all’attività di traduttore, il dottor Ensor rappresenta la Open University Business School a Amsterdam e tiene conferenze di Strategia che fanno parte del piano di studi in Economia e Commercio della stessa OUBS.
